Wow! been ages since i logged into my blog, i forgotten i had 1 till i saw my link on my friend's blog. Life is all well and happy! The sad news is i was told by my cousins and friends i became somewhat FAT! I guess the intensity in the gym has to increase by 50%! Recently bought the much debated IPhone, hearing 50/50s on how good or bad the phone is. But after getting 1 and modifying it, i find the phone not bad and its quite slick, it also saves my $ on my sms bills because i now sms lesser due to the difficulty in smsing on the IPhone! Imported a nice gold reflective casing over the internet which cost me $55! It looks very cool but have to take good care of the casing from any prominent scratches or fingerprints! It's all worth it =)

Welcome 2009!!!

It has been sooo long since my last post! Sorted things out and i'm feeling better then ever!.. Had an extremely wonderful christmas holiday at Taiwan with my brothers and we sure enjoyed life over there! There are over 7gb of photos and videos which i could not upload all..so i chose some beautifully crappy shots to be uploaded! Other then Christmas holidays i had a great time celebrating the countdown to 2009 at St James too with my buddies. Although the economy is predicted to be worst but i just hope and pray that everybody will have a great life ahead and health and safety for you and your family and loved ones is whats most important in life!

My first leg injury after 11 years of playing basketball

On Tuesday i had a game of basketball which almost ruined my entire sporting life! While i did a jump shot, i landed on my friend's leg and he moved away causing me to land very awkwadly on the side of my left foot and i felt a very big CrrAaAAccCk! and the next moment i knew i was down on the floor in acute agony and i just clenched my ankle with both hands to try to get over the pain but the pain just kept getting worst and i had to be carried out of the court to rest at the sides.

After that i needed 2 friends to literally lift me home and on the way i had to lie down to rest every few steps because i could feel the blood keep flowing to my ankle which was killing me. The next morning i woke up my leg was so swollen and every single move i made was in pain, i went to the doctor and he said i severly injured my ankle's soft muscle tissues and i almost fractured my ankle bone. I had to be on clutches to avoid any further pressure on my left leg which i didn't use when going out because it was so inconvenient.

But i kinda regretted not using the clutches, yesterday i still went to my friend's pub and i walked quite alot. Today when i took out the bandages, i saw my veins were darken and there were dark blue and black and reddish bruises on both sides of my left feet. The doctor said that because of too much pressure keep applying to my left ankle that resulted in blood clotting around the injured muscle tissue area.

The doctor said that i have to be out of any sports for at least a month or two to at least let it heal if not i might make the injury worst and it will affect my sports next time. I guess gym is still alright!

Lost My Direction In Life Till Now

1 month ago i stopped something which was my "LIFE", i had quit going to the gym to train and threw away all my gym equipments and cancelled my country club gym membership. I know it was quite shocking, due to some set backs and problems in relationship. I took this 1 whole month to do some soul searching and find what i really want in life which had came to a dead end till now. My close friends have been encouraging me to go back to the gym and train and not waste all my effort in what i have done to change myself to what i really want in the past 3 to 4 years. I havebeen going to my friend's pub almost 4 times a day every week and just kept drinking boozes and liquors throughout the night and i find that i have lost my direction in life.

After nights of praying and soul searching, suddenly there was voice in my mind telling me to do what i really wanna achieve the most and came along a direction pathed out for me to follow. I decided to stop my night life and try to cut down on the drinking totally and go back to train in the gym harder then before. It's going to be a slow painful process because of all the weight and size i have lost since i stopped gym.. i lost around 9kg and totally shrink in size which was obvious to everyone because i have extremely high metabolism and i ate just 2 meals a day since last month instead of the 5-6 meals a day in the past, the clothes i used to wear are also quite big for me now. I shall take this as a challenge and still stick to my challenge with Zengye and come December i'll prove that i can be bigger and fitter.

It's been such a LoOOoOoooooooooOOoooOoOOOOooOOong time i last blogged.. well 2 weeks ago i went for my non-ict Ippt at Toa Payoh Safra.. I was the youngest over there and all of them were like in their mid 30s taking the same Ippt with me.. while attempting the last station only 3 guys were allowed to take the 2.4 threadmill run because the rest had already failed in other stations so there was no point in taking the last station. While running, the guy beside me suddenly fell off the threadmill with a loud thud to the ground and he was clenching his heart area and his face was totally pale white.. they say he suffered a heart attack while running and was immediately evacuated to the hospital. I do not know how is the guy but i do hope that he is well and running once again.

The following week was my "Finally" driving test, i was suppose to have the driving test last year but i keep delaying the lessons and test because i was kinda lazy and had no motivation. After my father decided to get a new car and also motivated me because he kinda gave up trying to tell me to go for my lessons. I was lucky to have gotten a good tester and he was on the phone while i was attempting the circuit test, after doing just a few courses in the circuit like the parallel parking and vertical parking he just called me to go on the road for the ending test.. my test route was suppose to be quite a tough and long journey but he just told me to make a U turn and lane change back to the driving center to collect my license.. i was so delighted when i heard the words "go back and collect your license!" He said he had no points to deduct on my driving but just put i had incorrect braking technique and just gave me 2 points deduction lol.

My father decided to get the new Honda Jazz 2008 which will only be in Singapore end of this year. I'm now in the process in choosing the colour and the interior colour combination.

I kinda like this colour for the honda jazz i saw on the net and its also the same thing my father is going to install with the large sun roof over the car. I'm thinking of either red or yellow for the car.

I was on my way to the gym and i saw this cute little cat sleeping and baking under the hot sun and using it's paw to shade away the direct sunlight shining at it's face! After taking a snapshot, the cat came over and lay down beside me on my shadow to continue to sleep. So i carried it to a nearby tree and let it sleep under the shade before i went off to the gym. Such an adorable lazy cat! A certified Garfield~

Slept for only 3 hours since the previous day because my buddies came over to my house and we played mahjong from around 10pm till 7am since my family is away on holiday over the weekend. Slept at 10am and woke up at 1pm to head to the gym, after more then a month of absence to the gym because of exams, i wanted to go back last week but i was hit with a terrible case of acute food poisoning and high fever, i had to be taken to the clinic for 2 injectoons and 3 days of bed rest till i could finally have the strength to get out of my room. I lost like around 7kg because of this virus! when i looked into the mirror and saw i had gone all skinny and small sized i was soOooooO demoralized! I went to the gym today but only could sustain 30 minutes in the gym and i was out of energy so i headed home for more rest. Didn't wanna go out today and just laze at home, got kinda bored so i decided to do some simple painting on my wall to fill the boredom of a normal boring Sunday afternoon. Gonna repaint the wall soon next month, thinking of a new picture to paint and it shall be permanent!

Basketball Shorts Part 1

I finally took out some of my basketball shorts and arrange them properly in my cupboard! And this is like 1/3 of the amount of basketball shorts i have.. the rest are still somewhere in my cupboard which i have to dig out after my exams... Lol... I used to go to queensway shopping center during my secondary school days to buy a pair once every week or two... i realised i had spent more then $2500 on basketball shorts! Had i realised that 10 years ago i would had been a rich guy right now! haha.. My mom used to say to me: "You only have 1 body... What for do you need 40 over basketball shorts! You can supply 4 basketball teams with basketball shorts!" I guess she gave up saying that to me after a few years.

Basketball shorts used to be quite expensive at a minimum of $50 a pair and i had to save like crazy to buy 1.. Well those were the teenage years where kids love to do crazy stuff that makes them happy =)
The pair that i literally had to starve myself during my poly year 1 to save enough cash to buy is the Adidas limited edition shorts which cost me around $100... If only i saved all the $... I would be able to set up a chicken farm by now! Lol

Tired Tired Tired

Past few days have been in a very tired mood, even when Zongwei called me to go to the gym i could fall asleep and forgo GYM! He said he was quite stunned that i would usually forgo anything and head to the gym, but this time i just didn't go and even sleep over it. Yesterday headed to a posh bar at China town with him and a few other friends, had a great time chilling out and playing stupid games that were aimed at making me drink! Because i didn't know most of them and Zongwei suggested playing a game called Ice Breaker and the 1st person has to say his name, and the 2nd person has to say his own name followed by the previous person's name, and the 3rd person will carry on the same, there were like 15-17 of us and they purposely made me the last person so i had to memorize all of their names in 1 go! and the girls all looked quite alike and they all purposely said their names very fast! I eventually got all correct on the 1st go with a little help lol.. what a lame game!

I guess it's time to change my handphone! Ever since i took a picture of this creepy cat that i had never seen before at my void deck that keeps staring at me and when it sees me it will come to me and just lie down next to me. When my phone is at the normal standby locked mode, it would automatically unlock by itself and go into the main menu and navigate to my gallery section and open the cat photo and zoom in by itself. Lol, it happened a few times also when i was in Zongwei's vehicle on the way home after sending his friend home. I just stared at the phone while it navigates by itself to the photo again and again.. I tried restarting my phone and even update the version but it still keeps going into the picture by itself! I got so fed up and thought since it keeps going into that cat photo i shall just delete that photo! When i deleted the photo my handphone didn't seem to have any problems anymore~ Guess my handphone still has lots of bugs in it! A great excuse to buy a new phone! Come to think about it, it was kinda creepy Lol

My poor adorable baby niece, Shermayne! Her right eye was swollen and she told my cousin to take a picture of her to send to me to let us see what happened to her.. Apparently the teacher in school wrote to my cousin that a boy knocked into her and caused it to swell, but when my cousin brought her to the doctor, he said that it was caused by an insect bite. Oh well.. I just hope that she recovers fast =) Called my cousin and Shermayne picked up instead and said that she is OK~ even before i asked anything... Her cuteness is too much to handle =)

My All Time favourite drink from Star bucks! Ice Green Tea frappuccino~ I got addicted to this drink on the first day of my Shanghai trip where i decided to try something new and i had been drinking it everyday for my holiday in Shanghai!

After a day at Sentosa and after playing a few rounds of mahjong at my poly classmate's house i got so hungry that before i went home i decided to go to the coffeeshop and order $10 worth of this "Yue Guang He" .. It's actually dry Hor Fun with a raw egg over the top and just mix the raw egg with the Hor Fun while it is hot! Yummy~ The person serving asked if i wanted how many pairs of chopsticks for this big portion and when i said 1 pair..she went "HUR!!!!" so loudly that people nearby turned over... lol... My friend got addicted after i introduced this dish to her during chinese new year at 1 of the coffee shops at Boat Quay... Could not believe she was missing this out for so many years~ tsk tsk

After my buddy Zong Wei helped out my sister in lending us his father's lorry to transport her piano over to her house, both of us went to Newton Circus to eat supper. We initially wanted to head to Adam foodcourt but it was under renovation, so we detoured back to Newton Circus and had a fantastic supper, we ordered 400g of cereal prawn, chilli kang kong and also their famous sweet sour chicken. This was the first time i tried sweet sour chicken because usually elsewhere there is only sweet sour pork and i must say it taste much nicer. Both of us had difficulties finishing up all the food but sure enjoyed it.

Never complain that your life is miserable till you have seen this infamous disturbing photograph taken by Kevin Carter who killed himself after this photograph won him the Pulitzer Prize award. He could not get over the disturbing images he witnessed with his very own eyes and blamed himself that he did not help that poor Sudanese girl who was trying with her life to crawl to a feeding center just 1km away and being prayed on by a vulture waiting to eat her carcass. He was told not to help any of them because of the disease that they carry with them, but he regretted with his life for listening. People criticized him for not helping the girl and it hit him so hard that took his own life with guilt in 1994, just months after taking the photograph that showed the world the shocking truth. He was just trying to show to the world the humanitarian crisis that was (and is) engulfing Sudan.

Rommel

a familiar name throughout all the dog handlers and trainers in the army. Possibly the best dog with the best attitude, a great demo dog for exhibitions at big occassions for VIPs. When i first stepped into the K9 family i was told that Rommel was the best dog we had and when i went to play with him i instantly knew why.. He would always use his muzzle to nudge your hand to let you know he wants to be pet and when you start petting him his tail will just wag happily and he will just stare at you with his big bright eyes in happiness.

Apart from all the kind loving feeling he gives you, he also know when is play time and when is training time. He will be very serious at trainings and show levels of aggresiveness a guard dog should have. I took him on duties on some occassions and was extremely impress with him not slacking a single bit when doing my rounds and responded to even the slightest sound or movement and every command i gave with great enthusiasm. Everybody in our K9 family treated Rommel as our good "friend" because he did now show favouritism to anybody but to all. Just heard from my friends that Rommel just passed away due to bloated stomach on the way to Mount Pleasant to save him. It was not a death he should had gone through. Bloated stomach is one of the worst death for a dog and they should not have to go through it..

It had been a long time since i went shopping for my own groceries to cook my own meals! Suddenly i had a craving for chicken and fish fillet so i dropped by the supermarket after my gym at the country club to shop! I was actually intending to buy just 1 or 2 chicken breasts for dinner but on the shelf there were left with 6 chicken breasts and fillet so i decided to buy it all up.. there was this guy behind me whom i think wanted to buy chicken breast too but i only can say that he is so unlucky to be queuing behind me! The fish fillets also caught my eye and i bought a few to have a nice variation of dishes in my meals.. and not to forget the yummy black pepper sauce to marinate them!
I think in about 2 to 3 days everything will be finished up if i eat it for all my 4-6 meals a day! I'll just pop by the supermarket again on Tuesday to stock up my food~

Blessed Wedding

What a wonderful and joyous wedding i attended just now, it was the wedding of my beloved aunt! My sister and cousins booked a hotel room at Conrad cause we did not want to be too close to the bride's hotel room which was at Ritz Carlton, we went there early in the day to relax and chill and shop abit before my sister's hairstylist came and did the makeover for the females while the guys just watched tv and relax till 5pm where we all had to get ready and gather at the Ritz Carlton to witness the Solemnization of Matrimony.

It was to be an extremely grand wedding because the groom himself is a well renowned doctor in Singapore and all his associates and friends were either doctors or are very well to do upper class people. So we had to all wear suits and the dinner was fine dining and after every dish there were extravagent perfomances from families and friends such as singing, live band performances, ball room dancing, turkish dances, couples dancing the waltz the night away on the dance floor and the list goes on...They even had imported wine and the speaker also gave a short speech of why the imported year 2005 wine is said to be one of the best wines in the world, well i didn't really care because i was more interested in the FOOD! Initially it was planned that children was not able to attend the wedding dinner because it was fine dining and it will not be a good sight to see the children running around, but after much discussion and my aunt insist that our side the kids must come because we are all 1 very big and close family. The children behaved at their best and everything was picture perfect!

I love this, when the speaker talked about their names and surname, my aunt's initials are S.M and her husband's surname is Lee, when they get together they form a very powerful couple because the speaker said Lee is a very power surname in Singapore because of our former Senior Minister now Minister Mentor, and people regarded him last time as S.M Lee. So when now my aunt's surname is Lee, together they combined to be S.M Lee, it was kinda lame but i find it quite original to have thought that up!

My Epitome Of Happiness

Found this picture from my sister's laptop, taken at her wedding dinner! I was kinda tired by then because i had to wake up at 4am to prepare all the stuff needed as i was in charged of the video for the entire day from the church wedding in the morning to the wedding dinner.

This Saturday will be another joyous occasion as another of my family member is getting married and it will be kinda super grand at the Ritz Carlton with imported wine and ball room dancers hired to perform specially for the wedded couple because it is their favourite! Can't wait for the good food!

I actually decided to wear back that same outfit with a different V-neck tee inside but i was told that the requirement for all males for the wedding must be Shirt and Tie! so i guess i have to go with the morning outfit that i wore for my sister's church wedding! So it means i need to go shop for a new shirt, but no more RAOUL! After buying 2 of their shirts i find that their materials are not really that fantastic and the pricing is a little bit over rated.. Oh well.. that's called branding! I'll just find a nice and not so expensive shirt from maybe Zara which is much cheaper i guess

I Need Help

I find that Valentine's day has lost its true meaning and it has became to commercialized for sellers trying to earn an extra buck on the day itself. Does anyone know the true meaning? Just a day to celebrate because it's called for? Or to celebrate that love does really exists no matter what happens?
Oh well, i have not celebrated a single Valentine's Day before and nobody believed me haha, so i have no right to comment on anything about that special day which is TODAY!

Anyway, yesterday was a normal day for me.. was on my way to Jurong and i walked pass the basketball court as usual and suddenly i saw the people running away and i realised there was an extremely big swarm of angry bees circulating the basketball court. I headed to the busstop and it started to rain and the bees made their way towards the busstop too. At first i thought it was raining heavily and then i realised as i looked closer, it was actually all the bees hovering around the road. People tried to board the busses quickly while the rest walked away from the scene in fear of being stung by the angry bunch.

Been having an extremely bad cough recently because for the past week i've been heading down to pubs almost everyday till 6-7am to celebrate with my friends the Chinese New Year, one of the days after pubbing till 7am i went home and i decided not to sleep and i went for a morning run for 2 hours and then gym. After the gym we headed down to Boat Quay once again to chill and sing, the next day i fell sick and the doctor concluded i was suffering from over exhaustion and dehydration and i still went running despite the flu and cough i was lucky to be alive and not collapsed dead on the spot.

Now everynight i would be awaken in the early mornings like 3-5am disturbed by my coughing, looks like the medication is not helping much and i tried popping a pill or two of sleeping pills to try to force myself to sleep on despite of the coughing. Can't really do any sports for now because of this and on Monday i tried playing basketball and after 3 games i suddenly felt short of breathing and i had to sit down n rest. Guess it is time to stop all these and start resting more till i recover first before my friends keep nagging at me everyday to stop this and stop that!

Oh Well, Andrea called me to go to her house for a mahjong session with Jonathon and Bee on Friday, we decided to buy some good food which Andrea says her house area are the best! We'll just wait and see if its up to my taste buds expectations! Lol.. and i have a feeling the 3 of them will gang up againts me and cash me out! I'm all prepared to over turn the table and run away the minute i lose! and i shall just bring the remaining of my China currency from my previous trip and gamble it away.. if they win it they have to go to the money changer to change back to Singapore currency themselves! Andrea and Bee you better be reading this! Don't complain on Friday!!

Went to catch the movie RAMBO 4 with my friends, Zongwei, Bee and her friend who i forgotten what her name was lol.. anyway i was given reviews that the movie was just 2 out of 5 stars but i just had to see for myself.. i found the movie GREAT! It was filled with blood thirsty actions all the way~ There was blood and gore throughout all the fighting scenes.. when people was covering their eyes from the gory actions, i was looking in awe at the bloodiness of the movie with a smile =) .... after the movie Bee's friend said i am a pervert cause i love all these gory intestine dropping, head bursting, body's blowing apart movie.. lol WTH!!

Anyways before the movie Bee told me she wanted to eat popcorn so i bought a big packet of caramel popcorn but in the end it was me trying to finish it up alone.. what an impossible task! I gave up after eating finish half of the packet... after the movie ended the girls rushed to Wisma and Far East for some last minute shopping and i started to feel wierd because yesterday i accidently ate some DURIAN PUDDING which i am a die hard ANTI DURIAN eater! i almost vomited and i felt wierd the whole day and the pungent smell of the durian keeps appearing in my thoughts with the extra dosages of caramel popcorn i had earlier on makes it a perfect recipe for DIARRHEA!!!

After walking around with them at Far East, Zongwei and I decided to go off first because i wasn't feeling really well too.. we went back to our house area prata shop and have a drink and some light food and after eating i had to rush home because i really started to feel unwell.

I still have to get a nice shirt for my Aunt's wedding on the 23rd of Feb. and we all have to be in totally smart and formal wear with coat and tie because the dinner is held at the Ritz Carlton and it will be fine dining with dishes served personally to everybody in portions.. so we have to dress up to the requirements and i will be in charge of helping with the sound system and video again!!

I still have lecture tomorrow morning at 10am! zzZz.. i think after that i shall head to gym for an hour or 2 because i have not really been going to gym faithfully and i find that it is time to set aside some miscellaneous stuff and be strict on my priorities in life and achieve it first!

My version of a perfect human body is shown above in the video.. Kevin Levrone..a.k.a Maryland Muscle Machine... my all time favourite bodybuilder, most people might say these people are freaks but what is so commendable about them is the vast knowledge of the entire human body and muscle groups they have in order to achieve what they want and the sacrifices they had to make, like giving up all the tasty but unhealthy food, waking up early in the morning at 4am just to do cardio work out before they eat and head off to the gym, sometimes even giving up time to be with friends.. all the determination and discipline is SO HARD TO FOLLOW! Especially in Singapore with almost every food store you go to purchase contains so much unhealthy ingredients! That's why i still prefer SUBWAY Sandwiches which are much healthier...

Some find bodybuilders freaky and wierd but its the same as to some others who find driving at extremely fast speeds just to get the thrill wierd too.. for me i too will find it wierd and will never understand why that for some drivers, when a car passes them by fast, they will purposely want to race up to that car just to prove that their car is also as good as the other... Ego? or for the thrill of it? So each has his own point of view, before you comment on anything that you find crazy or wierd.. or even on the video above...it's a matter of being in their shoes for a day and you will have a clearer understanding of everything in doubt...

Great Weekend

This weekend i totally enjoyed myself going out hunting for new clothes with my buddies, yesterday we went to town to search for some tees but instead we came to realise that we spent most of our money eating instead! we ate around 4-5 meals just after every hour or so of shopping! After that we decided to try Bugis, Bee told me that Bugis was so packed that she could not even shop but i thought she was jus crapping around lol so we still headed down to take a look.. WHAT WAS GOING ON AT BUGIS?? Did everybody in Singapore suddenly decided to go Bugis to shop that day? It was totally crowded in almost every store we went, so i only manage to get a tee and yes after that we headed for another meal at Sim Lim and then we went to our usual hang out at Passion to chill and sing...

Today we decided to try a better shopping area which was VIVO City but i only managed to get a polo tee.. and we headed off for dinner at Marina South, but when we drove past the place we didn't realised that we had reached because the entire Marina South had closed down already? It was not just 1 BBQ store that was not operating.. the entire place was like a ghost town! Even the bowling Alley and the sideshops were not operating.. We were kinda disappointed because we all had cravings for PRAWNS and for me MEAT!!! instead we drove back to our house area at Jurong and ate at the market ordering a few dishes with rice and we chatted for about 2 hours, upon sitting down and chat we then realised that we had been buddies for 10 years already and it all seemed like yesterday.. where we all knew each other at the basketball court and have been playing there since till now.. it's great to have this kinda people who i really call true friends.. being there for one another whenever either one is feeling troubled... Our next big gathering shall be the 2nd day of Chinese New Year! Another KTV session with my brothers!

And i just spent another $350 buying online bodybuilding supplements! This time i will follow a stricter program and work religously towards my goal!

Another Basketball tragedy! I think i must stop playing for a few months! As you can see the bone joint area is a little bit out and swollen.. in the past when i was a hardcore basketball player i had this injury very often till it was sort of a fracture and i had see the doctor to push the bone joint back in place.. ever since then if my right thumb gets jab a little by a basketball or just a hit, it gets injured very easily and my whole thumb now can't really move or even clence my first. Just now i went for supper with my buddies and i could not even use the chopstick and i had to use a fork but i can't even grip the fork the normal way and had to hold the fork using the 4 other fingers.. this will put me at least 1 to 2 weeks out of action even from gym! damn~~ how unlucky can 1 get..

These are just some of the stuff that i bought from Shanghai on my shopping spree! I overspent my shopping budget of S$1,500 mainly because i kept going to restaurents to taste all their different DimSums and delicacies over there!! Now you will know why i declared myself as bankrupt upon reaching Singapore!!!

Love this pair of Spalding shoes but too bad i bought 1/2 size too small because that was their last pair so i just bought it anyways lol..

Forced my sister to buy the Baileys Mint chocolate for me cause it was Y-U-M-M-Y! And i bought another Johnny Walker Black Label limited edition.. i could set up a bar counter in my room already with all my alcohol collections =)

This was so tempting! i told my sister i just somehow hated Lacoste brand but the sunglasses was what i was looking for and i just bought it on the spot and it cost me around S$300!

2008... A year of great hopes and happiness

Today is the birth of 2008! Another year has gone by and always hoping for a better year ahead of all of us... before i continue uploading my Shanghai trip photos i shall recap what happened in 2007!

2007 was the year i waited for because for some obvious reasons, 1 major event which happen on 7th June is my ORD from my national service in the army which i was a little reluctant because i miss all my dogs in the camp.

I had some up and down moments with love related relationship but it showed me that there is actually alot of people whom i call great buddies that really cared for me while i was really at the pits of my life at that period of time.

My sister got married on 1st Dec and i am so happy for her and her husband that they have decided to settle down with each other and choosing each other as their life partners through thick and thin.

Some unhappy news is that i learnt recently that not only my eldest aunt is suffering from a breast tumour which we are told is luckily not spreading, and she is undergoing medication to reduce the size of the tumour so it can be operated and removed. My cousin who is only 33 years old recently told us that she has actually gone through an operation because she is suffering from breast cancer and she didn't want to tell us all because she didn't wanna ruin our holidays... her mom passed away few years back because of some illness.. we heard that my cousin's cancer is aggresive means it is spreading to parts of her body, my uncle who is a doctor said that she should not be suffering from breast cancer at her age, she's undergoing Kimotheraphy and she was suppose to have her wedding early this year but because of this she has to delay everything, she will not be able to have a child till 5 years later at least... is this a test from God to see if her fiance can hold on to the 5 years and prove that through thick and thin and sickness that he is willing to go through and be by her side for the rest of his life? I wish both of them all the best and i sincerly hope that everybody will be cured... that is my 1 and only wish i have.. for good health comes happiness

Had a great time celebrating with some of my close buddies, Zongwei, his girlfriend Sherla, Weixian, Khim Lok and Vincent... we were friends since young and always been going out and playing basketball together often. Starting i met up with Zongwei, Vincent and Weixian, we went to Cuppage and have a few rounds of pool which i almost killed Weixian when he was standing right infront of me and i accidently hit the ball too hard and it chipped over and flew towards him hitting him in the "you know where" haha we all could not stop laughing afterwards.. After 9pm we went to meet up with Zongwei's girlfriend Sherla as she finish her work and we headed to have a great meal together. After our dinner we headed to Esplanade and went to Vincent's former working place at a bar beside Harry's and we were given tables straight away by his manager... and we ordered beer and cocktails to await for the countdown to 2008 and the magnificent fireworks display. Weixian ordered a cocktail "grasshopper" which he waited since 2007, 1130pm till 2008, 1215am.. he was kinda pissed off for waiting for his drinks because the waiteress were all busy watching the fireworks and nobody cared about serving the drinks.. what poor service they have.. when the waiteress and waiters walk pass, Wei xian would tell them to please hurry up with his drink and said he waited for 1 year to pass and his drink is not served to him yet! lol... after that we headed opposite to Marina to catch AVP2 which was a very very disappointing movie... i will not comment much about the movie as different people have different views and taste.. but it surely was a great disappointment for me because after watching AVP part 1 which i find was actually quite good... guess the expectation didn't live up to the hype for me..

I'm back from my Shanghai holiday!!!! Hmmm many interesting things happened during my trip there, well... it will be my first and i think last trip there =) apart from the good cold weather and historical sight seeings and shoppings, i was not impressed by the rest.. i wonder how Shanghai women can stand the Shanghai men over there because where ever they go they just spit on the floor and nobody gives way, it seemed that in their mind they have the right of way.. they will just bang you or even when taking a cab, unlike Singapore where people give way to those who had been waiting for a cab earlier on, they just run straight into the cab and pushing you away just to get into a cab. Thats why after 1 hour of getting robbed of my cab, i decided to do the same way and just ignore the manners. The drivers there do not obey the traffic lights and way of route! Even if it is red light they will still go through the traffic and even dare sound the horn at you to call you to get out of the way!

This are some things that makes me appreciate i live in Singapore where spitting is an offence, and courtesy is a virtue!!

On my second day i took a cab which i didn't realise it was an illegal 1 and the cash meter just rose every 3 seconds! and the driver actually brought me to another place instead of the hotel where i wanted to go. I immediately sternly told him to alight me and i took an official cab where the driver told me to be careful for all these illegal cabs where they bring tourist to other places and then rob them.. I was lucky it was in the day time where there are many people around... Thank God

I'm off to Shanghai! I would like to wish everybody a blessed and fun-filled Merry Christmas with their family and friends! Too bad i can't celebrate with my buddies this year.

It will be 7 days of no gym for me!! OMG~ the hotel better have gym facilities so that i can hit the gym in the morning before i go off for my shopping and eating spree Lol.. Let's just hope i won't freeze over there because i was too lazy to shop for any winter clothes in Singapore =) IT'S ALL IN THE MIND~~~

Last week my sister had an impromptu decision to go Shanghai with me, she said that this year's christmas present will be a free 2 way airplane ticket and free lodging to Shanghai to shop! WoOHoOo~ Have not pack my bag yet but will do so after i buy my big crumpler bag for the trip too... today was a funny day, our motive was to go to Paragon to buy our crumpler bag, me and Weiliang already decided which to buy but Zongwei still could not decide which to buy, so we went for dinner and who would have known that after we finished our dinner and went back... THE SHOP HAS CLOSED FOR THE DAY!! I got damn pissed off, makes my whole trip down a waste, We went to Borders and Weiliang wanted to purchase just 1 magazine but because the person infront of him bought i think a library of books...we had to wait for like 20 minutes just so that he could pay for his 1 magazine... not only that we waited like for freaking 45 minutes for our bus to go home~ tomorrow i will waste no time... go into the shop, grab the bag, swipe my card and get the hell out!!! Lol today is really a day of WAITING WAITING WAITING~

Oh well, can't wait to go to Shanghai not because of the shopping spree and delicacies indulgence but because of the cold 6 degree celcius weather over there.. i just love extreme coldness =)

I'll be going off on 21st and coming back on the 27th, just in time to celebrate the end of the year countdown with my close buddies...

I have a few shopping list of stuffs that some of my friends want me to buy for them and 3 other friends that i will not mention "WHO!" called me to buy a bigger luggage bag so i can smuggle them to Shanghai to shop with me... Ahem! If you are reading this.. you should know who you are! Why don't you save the trouble and purchase a ticket and meet me there and i wouldn't mind for you to carry my luggage for me... =)

My Top 5 Most Unluckiest Moments...So Far!

5.) Training for my basketball tournament in secondary school for many months everyday even under the rain and when the time came..i fell sick zZzz!!!

4.) Had real bad knee injury in the past due to too much basketball trainings and i can not sit for long periods in small areas like cars, when i sat for a 6 hour journey for an overseas holiday, i could not stand when we reached and had to lay in the hotel bed for the entire trip and i missed out all the fun!!!

3.) When i was young i roller bladed while my neighbour was cycling behind me, i tripped and fell down and my neighbour behind could not stop in time and he rode his bicycle over my neck..

2.) Few days ago while bathing i thought to myself why all these years i've been staying at my house, there have never been a blackout while in the toilet, and true enough 2 minutes later.. MY ENTIRE BLOCK BLACKOUT FOR CLOSE TO AN HOUR!!! and i could not see a single damn thing in the toilet!

1.) This i really have nothing to say but U-N-L-U-C-K-Y!!! I was making my daily 10 eggs, when i cracked open the 1st to the 9th egg, everything was going well... When i was happily cracking open the last egg, IT WAS ROTTEN! and it just fell straight into the bowl of 9 perfect eggs and i had to throw everything away!!! If only i cracked the last egg first... then i would have saved 9 eggs!!!

This is what i call a GOOD meal after an exhausting gym work out!!!

I bought half of a honey roasted chicken and i made some salad with rasins and tomatoes and 1 big cup of steamed corn with bacon bits... Nothing beats a scrumptious meal on a cold rainy day after a good workout =) It not only fills your stomach and taste buds, it makes you happy too!

Tomorrow i shall grill my Salmon marinated in terriyaki sauce and cook a baked USA potato garnished with salad cream and bacon bits and melted cheese and 3 egg white omelette for dinner!

Confidence is a mental process that arises from considering if a person or thing is capable of something.

Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself when considering a capability.

Overconfidence is having unmerited confidence--believing something or someone is capable when they are not.

Self Confidence, something which i know that i lack in me. I used to think maybe it's because i used to think i am always incompetent and inferior to others in skills, so thats why i used to train so hard for my basketball and i not only wanted to be good among all that i know but to be the best. I thought this would make me have more self confidence, well i did work for me.. but it was only at a basketball court. I would be making decisions and plans to try and win the game which i was determined in every game. That thought of increasing my self confidence made me go on to train and play basketball with all my heart to learn for more then 10 years...

After that i got laughed at by my closest friends at that point of my life for being skinny and small size while the rest of them were so called "normal" and made fun of my appearance infront of the girls who adored them to make them feel good , they made it that way and i soon believe that they were right because they were my good friends at that time. I soon got very demoralized and my fist clenched at the hearing of the word skinny.. it was like a great insult to me, only guys who are skinny or were skinny will know how i felt... but i didn't do anything about it because i didn't know where to start

The final blow came when i was being the common target of ah bengs at that point of time, 8 guys unleash all the beatings they could do on me for no other reason then to show their gfs that they are fighters in life and cool for a reason. I had no reason to fight back... and i knew i could not either..

The following week i called my current close buddy, Weiliang, to follow me to the gym to just work out abit, soon we got hooked and we had sort of a silent challenge that who could make the most difference to our bodies... We would eat all the carbs and protiens we could see, i still remember we each ate a buddy meal at burger king, we had 10 pratas for dinner, we had 3 bowls of noodles for dinner, we just ate n ate with the focus of growing big... I was dying to get out of my 44kg body frame... i was literally eating, living, sleeping and dreaming about being "normal"

I remembered going back to my secondary school to have a gathering with all my ex classmates and teachers, the friends who laughed at me once.. maybe all of the training i put in was to prove to them?

I read this line from a show but i just can't remember where i have seen it... but it was sort of reflecting on me. A gal was telling the guy "Why are you trying so hard just to prove to others all these years? Why must you care so much of how other people look at you or think about you? Just enjoy life like it is..." It sort of struck a key in my mind...

The worst feared had came true when the report came out yesterday, my eldest aunt who complained of back aches and fevers had turned out to be because she is diagnosed with breast tumour and it is cancerous at it's final stages and it is feared that it had spread to her back already, tonight her sister's and brothers will all gather to have a talk with the doctor and see what can be done best to help her go through this hard time. It is a very big shock to all of us, everybody has cancelled their holiday trips to spend more time with my aunt, nobody has yet to let my sister know because she is overseas having her honeymoon. My cousin will wait for my sister to come back from her honeymoon then she will tell her about her mom's condition personally because we do not want to spoil my sister's mood right now. I pray that my aunt will be strong and with the support of us, her loved ones, she will conquer the disease.

A New Beautiful Journey Ahead For My Sister...

Today is my sister's wedding... After months and months of planning and arranging she finally had a perfect wedding. First we had the church wedding in the morning, we had to wake up early at 6am so that my cousins, aunts, sister and my mom could have their make over done in time by my sister's stylist. I did not have to do any make over and could sleep till 8am instead but i volunteered to wake up at 6am to help everybody make breakfast and drinks for the long journey ahead. The church wedding was fabulously beautiful, everything went perfect except the pastor made the same mistake again like the rehearsals... he suppose to say to my sister to put the ring on her husband-to-be's 2nd finger but instead he said the 3rd finger.. the universal sign language finger!

After the church wedding was done, we had lunch at the lobby area and after that headed to my brother-in-law's house for the tea ceremony and then back to my house for the tea ceremony, it was very short for the tea ceremony at my brother in law's place because there was only his parents around... at my house all my relatives was gathered and the tea ceremony was about an hour, imagine the number of relatives and cousins i have... i was the camera and video man for the day, and i was so busy running up and down getting good shots for the newly weds...

After it was finished, everybody went back to rest for about 3 hours till the wedding dinner at UOB plaza, 60th floor restaurent... the food was great and the waitresses were very friendly. After a hearty meal and lots of photo sessions and chats we all head back home to rest for a day well spent and never forgotten. The newly weds went back to Fullerton hotel to rest and prepare for their honeymoon on Monday =)

This was taken last Wednesday at Zouk celebrating our buddy PARANTHAMAN A.k.a PARAN-The-Man ORD!!!
Our dress code theme was all black, before we went into Zouk we went to the nearby coffeeshop to have a round of drinks that we brought, when we were walking towards the coffeeshop i was walkin right infront with another friend, and behind me were like 7-9 friends all dress in black and everybody at the coffeeshop stared at me like i brought a gang of gangsters to destroy their coffeeshop... haha everybody from different tables keep staring over at us and they were kinda quiet... guess i shouldn't had suggested the all black theme.. makes people get the wrong impression of us kind souls Lol

What a fun but tiring shopping day i had with my sister, last minute shopping to get my clothes for her wedding this Sat. Before our shopping spree we went to Azabu Sabo for some japanese desserts and a small meal, i was smsing my friend and holding the chopsticks on the other hand, she said if i could break open the new pair of wooden chopsticks which were still attached to each other with my one hand she would pay for all that i shop today, lol i immediately just used my thumb to press down on the chopsticks and it broke into half.. and she just quietly ate her meal and had to pay for my clothes later on.. haha should see the look on her face. What a funny sister i got...

(This was such a delicious meal, cut sirloin steak with salad and some japanese sauce which made everything so perfect... even after just eating a big bowl of noodles i just continued eating the steaks, soOoOO tender and tasty! Yum Yum!)

We went from Marina Square to Suntec to Town to shop for my Coat, pants, leather shoes, belt and tie. It took me 7 hours of shopping to be finally satisfied with what i wanted to get, after that i treated her to dinner at Ajisen Ramen and we went back home to rest... HOME SWEET HOME!

This is what i bought, i didn't wear the tie because after i wore the tie, i could not even stretch my arm.. The shoulder and chest area is abit too tight because the coat is tapered fit rather then the normal ones which look kinda baggy. Also bought a snake skin pair of leather shoes and i'm gonna sit near my aunt that day to scare her because she is super paraniod of snakes haha... I showed my friend and she said i look like some kinda mafia boss (-_-") yeah all i need is a gold chain hanging around my neck!!! Thanks DUDE!!!

After gym today i decided to head to Jurong Point to get my dinner, since my mom and sister went to attend my cousin's piano concert in town and my friends are busy today so i headed there alone, i bought 2 foot long sandwiches, a club sandwich and terriyaki sandwich which cost me around $16 but it was a great meal after a gym workout. 3 more days till my sister's church wedding on 1st December! and i have yet to shop for my clothes..

Past few weeks in the gym i have been working out very hard, just blasting my mp3 songs and lifting weights till my body is failing me soon. Maybe its due to stress and worries for my friends who are having a tough period of time at the moment. Yesterday after playing some basketball, both of my arms started to hurt very badly because the day before i trained my arms, it was not the normal aches, the pain came from the lower biceps nearest the elbow, i could not straighten my arms or apply any force to grip hold of anything, the feeling was as if both my arms were dislocated at the same time.. I immediately went back home to use the joint and muscle reliver spray and just kept spraying so that the heat of the spray will overcome the pain in my arms. After 30 minutes the pain was gone and i headed to gym with my friends.

I seriously need to have a break and getaway from this place for a few days to relax, anybody interested in going overseas? Be it KL or Hong Kong or Aussie etc...

Last week my sister had a church wedding rehersal with the pastor to know how the procedure is like and it was kinda cool. I am so excited for her and i wish them a blessed and forever loving marriage!

I just realised that this year i am gonna spend Christmas and New Year all alone without my family because my parents are going to Shanghai with my aunts, uncle and cousins while my sister will be having her honeymoon overseas too. Every year we would gather at my grandma's house for a christmas celebration and buffet, well i guess this year i have to make do with it and i'll have to figure out what to do during December!!!
35 more days to Christmas!
Finally i can get to celebrate it without any worries or fret that i need to return to army camp for duties to look after the doggies.. Last year i had to celebrate christmas eve with my beautiful dog Inka and i bought many good doggie treats for her and the 2 of us had such a romantic dinner =) i miss the doggies, it's time to go back and visit them already

This is the crappy medal we got for getting 2nd place, i helped the Military Police play for their team, not for the inexperience refree who was suppose to tell us the remaining time left and didn't call the foul , else we would had won! We lost by 1 point in the end... but it was all fun, great team work we had and all. Got kinda bored from studying so i decided to try out my new handphone's autofocus camera function and i must say i`m happy with this new phone =) Well.. this is my small room... i got tired of the normal "bed frame" room so i went to a japanese interior design shop at Marina and they actually allow you to design the pattern of the steps and platform you want and they will construct it for you... each step is actually a cupboard to store things, i found it unique and it really saves alot of space rather then buyin cupboards and taking up space in the room, and i can place my mattress on the platform.

When i do my workouts i can just lift the mattress up and i have a big space to do my workouts too =) got it renovated a few years ago already... After my exams i'm gonna design my walls with drawings and a new colour scheme

Had a Birthday Dinner for my dad at my aunt's condominium last Saturday, a very fulfilling meal. We had Cereal Prawns, Black Pepper Crabs, Chilli Crabs, Mee Goreng, Fried Rice, Buns, Salad..Etc. After the dinner we sat down and watch some picture clips that my aunt took on her 3 week holiday in Japan. Basketball!

This is the old original 324 basketball court before it was renovated.. this picture was taken when i have not yet started going into bodybuilding.(The 1 in white) We would everyday train and play at the basketball court, it was practically a 2nd home to us. Although the court has been renovated and we are playing often, i can't play as well as before and i can't jump as high as before and not as fast as before. But our determination to play well is always there, on Friday we played basketball, although my team did not really win all the games in the last hour, we sure put in a great effort to make sure that our opponents did not win the game easily and it was nothing but fun and teamwork.

The small group of us 324 basketballers out celebrating our buddy Ben's birthday at Marina South, the guy in white showing his left side of his face. Can't remember when it was but i knew it was the very same day i went to play street soccer at The Cage at Kallang and it was a tragedy! Firstly i took a cab down which cost me around $15 and when i reach there i immediately played with my friends and in less then 5 minutes upon reaching and playing, my friend who was wearing soccer boots kicked and missed the soccer ball and straight at my toe and upon impact my toe nail got ripped off inside my shoe and it was so damn bloody. It was so painful and blood just kept dripping from my toe! and i had to take a cab home and even pay for playing in the court which i only spent 5 minutes inside! Now i have great phobia when it comes to playing soccer...

Ahh~ My favorite picture! This was taken when we finished presenting our Final Year Project in Poly... This photo encaps many many wonderful memories of my poly life....The happiest time of my life so far was that 3 short years in poly, we had great fun everyday... even when our exams were near we too, enjoyed studying with each other, i remembered we would gather at boat quay's Coffee Bean in the morning and study all the way till evening and have our dinner and head home. It was such an enjoyable time, we love studying because we had great company everytime. University life is so much different, so many different groups of people in the class that makes it hard to make friends and its not enjoyable at all.

Now most of my poly friends are busy with work or studies, hard to have gatherings often.. yesterday i met up with 3 of the guys and we went to Sentosa to chill and play beach volleyball. Although we all agreed we had chose a wrong course to study for our future as we do not plan to work in the multimedia line, we all didn't regret not getting into the course because we sure met great friends and had great time...
